Tiny Love by Gaia

You visit me

When I’m leaden enough to get

Sleep

Enfolded in a womb of silken sheets

I’m made up of choices

Choices all mine

But you tug me sometimes

Towards your ethereality

My grief is a pet

That licks my open wounds

And sits waiting by the door

Maybe when I’m kinder

I’ll put on my boots

And take her for that walk

In a place

Corporeal and dirty

Heavy heaving towards a

Sovereign memory

I remember you

Just as you were

A tiny love I couldn’t

Make room for

“I trashed this piece because it feels more like a personal letter to someone who never had the chance to hear it.”
